SDIP-40-120 Gigabit PoE adapter reducing voltage to 12V 40W

SDIP-40-120 is a gigabit PoE adapter with a voltage-reducing inverter. The device is a dedicated solution for supplying 12V power to devices with a 40W budget. PoE adapter can be powered by PoE 802.3af/at/bt or PoE PASSIVE 44...56V.

SDIP-40-120 is a PoE splitter that is fully compatible with PoE switches operating according to the 802.3af/at/bt standard. The device does not have a PoE at the RJ45 output.

Primary applications of the device to power devices such as:

• NVR with disk
• cameras in combination with IR lighting, a siren, a microphone or a loudspeaker
• an IP video door station with an electric door opener
• camera monitor powered by 12V
• non-standard PoE devices (e.g. those not compatible with the 802.3af/at standard)

SDIP-40-120 Splitter can be used as an alternative to the SDIP-12-121 converter when a higher power budget than 12W is required. The maximum power of the device is 40W, but it can be temporarily loaded with 50W.

The PoE identification standard, the operating status and the available power to the receivers is indicated via LEDs:

• LED PWR - presence of power
• LED in RJ45 connectors - presence of PoE power on the port
• LED 25W - powering the device from the LAN+PoE IN port in 802.3at standard up to 25W available on the screw connector
• LED 50W - powering the device from the LAN+PoE IN port in 802.3bt standard up to 50W available on the screw connector

The device has a protection level of IP20, a suitable enclosure (minimum IP44) is required to ensure protection from the elements and condensation.

If the device will be used in a small space, it is possible to cut and break the mounting brackets of the base to reduce the dimensions of the module.

SDIP-40-120 is equipped with a universal mounting base, which allows it to be mounted in several ways:

• using the mounting studs on the 10.8mm grid, which is used in all ABOX enclosures
• with the use of mounting studs for RACK 19" and RACK 10" adapters
• by screwing through the additional holes to any flat surface
• using additional adapter ADD-TH35 it is possible to mount the module on the TH35 rail (DIN)

Installation notes

• maximum instantaneous power of SDIP-40-120 is 50W, continuous power 40W.
• the converter can be used interchangeably for the SDIP-12-121 adapter.
• the splitter does not have PoE power supply at RJ45 output.
• please ensure that the PoE switch which powers the splitter has the appropriate power supply for the receivers on the port.
