AEPI-1-50 Passive 1-channel PoE adapter 10/100/1000Mbps
Description
AEPI-1-50 is a gigabit adapter (PoE injector) designed to power CCTV devices operating in PoE 802.3af/at and PoE PASSIVE standards.
PoE is available on one of the RJ-45 connectors (labeled LAN+PoE). The second RJ-45 connector is used to connect to the LAN.
Selecting the appropriate connector in the screw terminal allows you to choose which UTP twisted pair cables will be used to transmit power in parallel with data (powering the receiver via 2 selected pairs or all 4 pairs).
Separate screw terminals assigned to specific pairs within the UTP twisted-pair cable allow two different voltage levels to be transmitted between two AEPI-1-50 devices over a single cable, while maintaining transmission speeds of up to 1000 Mbps.
Before connecting any device to the AEPI-1-50, verify the correct PoE voltage level and identify the pairs on which power should be applied.
Applying an incorrect input voltage level or selecting the wrong power pairs may result in unstable operation or, in some cases, damage to the device.
The device is very small, which allows for easy installation in small spaces, e.g., in a camera base or installation box.
The most convenient mounting method is to use dedicated ABOX series enclosures and mounting plates equipped with 10.8 mm hole patterns. This system solution allows vertical or horizontal installation of selected devices in any perforated part of the enclosure or mounting plate. With an additional adapter, the device can be installed on a TH-35 rail.
The enclosure allows for several mounting options:
- “Traditionally” using mounting pins on 10.8 mm hole patterns, as found in all ABOX enclosures
- By screwing it through additional holes into any flat surface
- Using the ADD-RACK2U1 or ADD-RACK2U2 mounting plate
- With additional clips on the TH35 (DIN) rail using the ADD-TH35 accessory
